Fun Dogs, New Tricks
Zero pressure. Maximum tail wags.
Fun Dogs, New Tricks is exactly what it sounds like: a low-pressure, high-reward class where your dog learns tricks through shaping, luring, and capturing — and you learn a ton about how dogs actually learn along the way. No pressure, no perfection required, just a good time for both of you.
Is Fun Dogs, New Tricks Right for Your Dog?
- You want something purely fun to do with your dog — a great first class if group classes feel intimidating
- Your dog is bored, understimulated, or just needs a mental outlet
- Your timid dog could use a confidence boost from a string of easy wins
- You want to strengthen your relationship and your “conversation” with your dog
- You’re curious about training mechanics you can use for literally anything else later
What You’ll Work On
- Trick-training concepts and mechanics
- Adding verbal and hand-signal cues
- A variety of tricks scaled to your dog’s ability, age, and safety — dogs can even earn AKC Trick Dog titles!
Good to Know
We keep safety in mind here too — jumping tricks are limited for dogs under two, and you won’t see us teaching “sit pretty”/beg, since it can strain a dog’s spine and hips.
This is a fun/enrichment class, not a behavior-modification class — if you’re working through reactivity or other behavior challenges, Canine Life Skills or a private Evaluation is the better starting point.
